Download PDF Good news — you don't need to turn your home upside down! Our treatment targets the key entry points pests use, not your entire home. Most of your furniture can stay exactly where it is. Our technician will walk through everything with you when they arrive and make sure you're all set before we start. 📍 Where We Treat Our targeted approach focuses on the places pests enter and travel through most — not your whole home. Internal Entry Points • Doorways & thresholds • Entry from garage into house • Bathrooms & laundry • Under sinks & pipe entry points • Kitchen perimeter & bench edges External Areas • External perimeter of the home • Garage door & entry areas • Garden beds adjacent to the home • Paths, patios & outdoor areas • Roof void (only if required) ✅ What We Need Before We Arrive ESSENTIAL PLEASE DO THESE • Remove pet food and water bowls from areas to be treated Move shoes, children's toys and items off the floor near doorways and thresholds Clear kitchen bench surfaces of food, utensils and food preparation items Tell us about your pets — dogs, cats, birds, fish, lizards, or any other companions Cover or arrange aviaries, fish tanks and reptile enclosures Close all windows and doors during external treatment HELPFUL IF POSSIBLE OPTIONAL • Mow lawns and remove animal droppings from the yard Remove clothes from the clothesline Vacuum and mop floors if convenient Move stored items away from external walls if easy to do so Note: You do not need to empty cupboards or move heavy furniture. Our treatment targets entry zones, thresholds and key pest pathways — not behind your couch! 🛡️ Safety During Treatment You are welcome to stay in your home during treatment. We just ask that people and pets stay clear of the areas being treated while work is in progress and until the chemical is dry. ⏱ Drying Times • Internal: 30–60 mins (weather dependent) • External: up to 2 hours 🐾 Pets • Cats must be crated during treatment — we can supply a carrier (advance notice needed) • Dogs: keep away from treated areas until dry • Birds, fish, reptiles: covered or relocated before treatment If anyone in your home has allergies or chemical sensitivities, please let us know before your appointment. 🏠 Roof Void — Rarely Required In most cases, your treatment will not involve the roof void at all. The vast majority of our services are carried out at ground level — at entry points, thresholds, and the areas where pests actually travel. Why we generally avoid roof void treatment: Where roof space treatment is considered, we use aerosol application only — never dust products. Dust can drift through downlights, exhaust vents, or ceiling gaps into living areas. It can also pose a risk to tradespeople who may later enter the roof space without knowing treatment has been carried out (secondary exposure). Your family's safety comes first. If we do recommend roof void treatment for a significant infestation, we'll always discuss it with you first. Electrical safety note: As per the Electrical Safety and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation 2024 (effective 1 January 2025), if roof void access is required the mains power must be turned off at the meter box first — typically no more than 15–20 minutes. If you need continuous power for medical devices, no problem — we'll simply skip the roof void. 🔬 Our Products & Warranty Our technicians are fully licensed and WHS-trained to safely use APVMA-approved pesticides. Products are applied at low concentrations (typically less than 1%) — effective against pests but safe for your family and pets when used as directed. Treated surfaces dry quickly, leaving a residue that targets insects but presents no risk to people or pets under normal conditions. Pet Safe Pest Management warrants workmanship and chemical treatment in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty period. Pest Control: Flea Treatments

Fleas are hard to contain, flea eggs can remain dormant for up to nine months, activated by the vibration of movement around them.

This means that you could think the problem has been resolved but they are actually still there.  Professional flea treatment is the only way to kill fleas in all their cycles.

If your dog or cat gets fleas, it’s important that you have your animals deflea'd and vacuum and clean the environment before being treated by a professional The best flea treatment is always prevention. For more information check out our Customer Guide: Flea Management Program.

  • Fleas (cat and dog fleas)

Fleas are wingless insects that have mouth parts which are adapted for piercing skin and sucking blood.

    • They have long legs with their hind pair well adapted for jumping.
    • Fleas will feed off a number of warm-blooded mammals such as humans, dogs and cats.
    • The bite of a flea can be extremely itchy and form small red bumps typically around your feet and lower legs.

With fleas feeding on a range of hosts, diseases are able to be transferred from one host to another. Fleas are well known for transmitting a variety of viral and bacterial diseases to humans and animals.

  • Flea Treatment For Your House

Flea treatment for your house is an important part of maintaining a healthy home; particularly when you have animals or live in areas where other animals such as cats and rats may wonder through your property.

Fleas and their eggs are often found living in the garden and in sandy areas, they then find their way into the home, living in carpet, flooring cracks and crevasses.

  • End of Lease Flea Treatment

Check out the End of Lease Flea Treatments
If you are renting a home and have pets, chances are you have paid a pet bond and the only way to get that bond back, is to have an ‘end of lease flea treatment’ carried out upon you vacating the property.

    • It’s important that you advise us if your pet has ever had fleas.
    • Treating for dormant flea eggs is vital
    • We will carry out a flea inspection of the property and provide you with a report and receipts.
    • Should fleas be discovered, we will carry out a full flea treatment program (inside/outside)
    • In the event that no fleas are discovered, we will carry out a basic flea prevention treatment inside
  • Tick Identification

Check your pets! Wet weather preceding warmer temperatures is the ideal time for ticks to be out in force.

    Australian Tick Identification Chart

Ticks can harm both humans and pets.

They’re only a couple millimetres in size, making them hard to see. Even if they’re biting you, they’re difficult to detect, as they secrete an aesthetic into their host before latching on. If this happens, the tick may cause a skin irritation or allergic reaction, possibly alerting you to their presence a few days after you’ve been bitten.

Ticks also transmit a wide variety of pathogens, most notably Lyme Disease, Human Monocytic Ehrlichiosis, or Southern Tick-Associated Rash Illness. Fortunately, Lyme Disease is extremely rare in Australia.
